One idea that I like to do is finish several quilt tops and put them with their backing fabric and binding strips ready to go in a basket in layers. Then quilt each one on my long arm, trim and sew on the binding to the top. Lastly, stack the quilts next to my recliner to hand sew the back of the binding onto the quilts while watching a marathon of shows or movies I’ve recorded to watch. I seem to get more of them done with this method.Crafts By Janellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18065050214170671490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3647398646594937688.post-48339082134136346992018-12-07T06:06:00.749-03:302018-12-07T06:06:00.749-03:30Thanks for sharing such great ideas about organizi...Thanks for sharing such great ideas about organizing everything quilty in a smaller space. My first job was working as a junior accountant, and my mentor was totally disorganized. It ruined me. Mostly I go by "everything has a place all over the place." I finished a project yesterday, and before starting anything else, I'm going to do some organizing. This year I have participated in One Monthly Goal, and I have finished quite a few of my UFOs. I have always used lists, so I'm not a total mess... maybe there is hope for organization redemption. I actually have a list of things that I write down that I would like to tackle, whether it's quilting, cleaning, painting, organizing or purging and when I have a day or weekend when I wonder what I want to accomplish today, I look at that list and tackle a project. I also like to have a clean slate after a project is done so I can go in with a clear head and fresh mind. Great advice from everyone.
